Northwest Community Hospital Arlington Heights, Illinois
Northwest Community Hospital of Arlington Heights decided it was time to forge a stronger bond with its physician specialists by developing an on-campus medical office building. A team led by Dave Arnold conducted a market rental analysis, surveyed physicians, and prepared an economic model to verify that the project made financial sense and was attractive to physicians on the hospital's staff.
In working with the hospital's master plan, low acuity diagnostic departments that needed to expand were added to the program to create a comprehensive "Center for Specialty Medicine."
Now physicians can be more efficient, patients have a one-stop location for all of their care, and the hospital has increased its diagnostic treatment capacity for the foreseeable future.
Projected to complete in 2003, this 185,000 square foot hospital addition and suited medical office building is a 9-story steel frame with glass and metal curtainwall featuring state-of-the-art medical testing and diagnostic services. It also includes private specialty physician offices, diagnostic MRI, ultrasound and general radiology, outpatient laboratory, women's center, an 8-room endoscopy department, and 920 car parking structure.
Prior to joining Irgens, Dave Arnold directed the development of this hospital addition/suited medical office building project. Architecture, engineering, and construction services provided by Marshall Erdmann & Associates, Inc. |
