This corporate headquarters assignment had several challenges. The pre-existing site presented environmental, aesthetic, and topographic concerns. Timing was also an issue. Getting a building loan on the heels of a real estate recession for a less than ideal location was tricky.
Our solution was to build around the idiosyncrasies of the site rather than spend money to fix them. We then used the cost savings to deliver a considerably nicer building than originally anticipated. The entire project was well within budget, a product of competitive, commodity-driven bids. |
